In Detroit, when the beloved citizen Evelyn Mercer is murdered in a store heist, her four dangerous stepsons come to her funeral. Bobby Mercer, Angel Mercer and Jack Mercer join the regenerated ex-union leader Jeremiah Mercer, and they decide to investigate the murder. They discover that her execution was intentional, and resolve to find the criminals by themselves.
When their adopted mother is gunned down in a store robbery the 'four brothers' investigated the murder for themselves & look for the killers but not all is what it seems.
This is one of the best revenge movies to have been released along with Man on Fire. It delivers all the action you could want, a great cast including Mark Wahlburg, Andre Benjamin and a perfect story and in my personal opinion it&#39;s one of Wahlburgs defining roles along with other films like The award winning Departed.<br/><br/>As with all revenge movies, you need good strong characters to carry the weight of the story. This is a perfect example from Wahlburg, you also need a focused plot to which the characters follow. The direction has also been exceptional from John Singleton. This film exceeds in story and character. Buy this great DVD now, and you will not be disappointed.
I got this movie because i really like mark, he is such a good actor. but i was very disappointed with this movie. Four brothers was the worst movie I&#39;ve seen in a long time. I mean seriously did the movie makers think that in this time and age , they could get away with women acting so stupid in a movie. and the language is utterly distasteful. that poor woman is happier dead than with those four jerks. i hated it…its the first Indian cinema type Hollywood film. when the movie started i was very interested and then by the first half of it i was so angry that i did not want to watch another second. Don&#39;t waste your time an money on this one.
